Bingo
On the first Tuesday of the month there is Bingo in De Elleboog. We have started again on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 starting at 13.30 hours. There is a nice prize table.

On Thursday at 9.30 am, there is more exercise for the elderly who live outside Nieuw-Schoonoord. We activate the muscles, work on our condition, prevent falls, train our memory, and so on. We sit in a chair for part of the lesson.
On Thursday at 10.30 am and 11.45 am, there is Moving to Music. After the warm-up, fitness exercises follow. After this, exercises are done on the mat (or chair), and then a dance follows.

Velpse chess club

The Velpse chess club is for young and old. Chess is played every Friday in the Elleboog by chess players as young as 6 years old. There is no upper age limit. You can play chess as long as you like. The Youth Chess School is open from 18:15 and the (young) adults play chess from 20:00. The adults play competition among themselves. In addition, tournaments are organized, played against other clubs and senior training is given.

yoga for women 55+
Exercises both beside the chair, and possibly lying on the mat. Personal level can be adjusted. Regular yoga classes on Mondays 9.30 - 10.30 am with Hatha yoga as the basis. Everyone can participate even if you are less mobile Monday 11.15-12.15.

Zhineng Qigong is a simple Chinese movement practice that promotes increased energy and vitality. The exercises are easy to incorporate into your daily life and learn. It is intended for everyone, young or old, and for individuals with any health condition, whether they are fit or less fit.
